Grand Trunk Road Initiatives (GTRi) organised the first tech summit in Patna: Ideas for Bihar – an Innovation Summit on 15th October 2022 (Saturday) at Hotel Lemon tree premier. The goal of this tech summit was to make Bihar an epicentre of tech-innovations by facilitating ground-breaking discourse and creating a significant yet long-lasting impact.
This tech summit brought together thought-leaders, inventors, innovators, and change-makers to present new products, engage in discussion, pinpoint prospects for the future, and ultimately build an ecosystem of investment and tech clusters in the state. The summit had 3 highly focused sessions on Ideas for Bihar: In reference to Tech! Why is Al & ML pertinent for faster growth and entrepreneurship? and New Tech New Space
Dr S Siddharth,ACS finance and PS to CM,Bihar said that GTRi in its last two events has brought the brightest Bihari minds on one platform, but now time has come when we make correct and timely assessments of the changes taking place by their efforts. We need to support the discourse by evolving determinants and envision future of the land through corporate investments, job creations, and make Bihar a leading player on the technological front. He said creating a favourable environment for businesses by facilitating dialogs with the Government is important.
Santosh Kumar Mall, Principal Secretary, Dept of IT,GoB highlighted the efforts and the encouragement provided by the GoB for the people and start-ups of the state. New Tech Space needs to show that there is value at the end of the very short tunnel.
Col Harmit Singh Sethi- ED and Head Corporate affairs, Dalmia Bharat group, said that it is important to join hands and formulate strategic options of dealing with some real problems of the state. It now needs big corporates to climb a stair up and look into the ocean of opportunities Bihar has to offer.
Niladri Saha from Dell Technologies, highlighted the use of Data in an organisations decision making and how Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning will lead to true competitive edge in times to come.
Rajesh Kumar-Actor and agripreneur-Mera Family Farmer, said More and more skilled people are needed in businesses to use the data available and put it to better use and it is one of the most futuristic avenues for jobs and more and more people are expected to enter this space as Entrepreneurs.
Avnish Anand from Caratlane, focussed on the role of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning providing competitive advantage in future.
Kumar Mayank from Zimyo, said that the convergence of analytics, data science and automation is important to accelerate successful digital transformations and fuel business outcome.
Saugata Datta from Husk Power systems, said that tech giants have handled the growing technology adoption well and it is also important to promote green initiatives.
Kundan Shahi from LegalPay highlighted that with the idea of using AI and big data and how Innovation has become a global catalyst. Technology has helped in minimising the struggle that a common man faces and it can become a catalytic mechanism for improving economy of Bihar
Dr Rana Singh-Director CIMP said that people and firms needs to come together and share how they have implemented an end-to-end technology infrastructure which has dealt with growing supply and demand.
The dialog and idea-exchange marathon has just started for Bihar, and GTRi is working to bring in better integration of social and human development considerations. The goal of this tech summit is to make Bihar an epicentre of tech-innovations by facilitating ground-breaking discourse and creating a significant yet long-lasting impact.
GTRi is committed to finding ways for advanced sustainability and figure out solutions in terms of specific issues and strategies. It also sees a significant potential for the diaspora to emerge as an important strategic asset for India in the foreseeable future.
