Yuliia Korienkova asks everyone to stop for a while. Just see around you. What is making your life easier? It’s technology. With the ubiquitous presence of big data and artificial intelligence, from the food people eat to the music all listen to, everything is steeped in technology. So why should art be deprived of the wonders of it?
Yuliia used technology to create an artwork on Elon Musk, as a tribute to the tech guru himself. Here’s more on it. Let’s delve. Yuliia Korienkova is an artist who works on robotic art, inspired by and dedicated to the technological advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Speaking of technology, what comes to mind is the name Elon Musk. So Yuliia thought of making an artwork laced with technology honoring the tech doyen.
Yuliia visualizes a future where art can also be customized or personalized using technology. She mentions the immense potential of art becoming a responsive medium for the onlooker. She says that science inspiring her art themes with iconic imagery like an Elon Musk or father of AI John McCarthy’s faces. And her artworks demonstrates that.
About Elon Musk in her artwork, Yuliia says: “I always tend to open the curtain of the future in my art. It’s all about this very eternal question of existence and my vision of how it might be after a while with human life running its course towards significant hitech impovement. Here is my artwork from 2018 titled “Prove you are not a robot”, which contains an image of Elon Musk becomes part of artificial intelligence, a cyborg with a chip in his head, and here we go just a few months later: Elon announcing he’s going to insert a chip known as brain-machine interference to be implanted into the mind which will help to achieve “symbiosis with artificial intelligence”.
Future never seemed closer! “
Yuliia’s work blends art and technology in the emerging space of what is called robotic art. Yuliia’s artwork integrates different types of media from traditional to digital. Just like Elon Musk, she talks about her fascination with technology, “Artificial intelligence and robots would invoke awe in me because of their complexity, sophistication, the endless wonders that they have created and continue to. I’m using technology to transform my artworks – make it more interactive, dynamic, and less normal”. Yuliia explains that when art is guided by technology it gives rise to endless variations and possibilities, which takes the art to the next level.
Originally from Ukraine, Yuliia Korienkova grew up with a deep passion for art. Her education in engineering, philosophy and computer programming, Yuliia shares, helped her to make her artworks stand out by bringing in philosophy of the technology into it.Yuliia continues to create futuristic artworks that are setting both a new trend and benchmark for the art community.
